The Kesha look.

Hey Bloggers
Hope you have had a great day.

As anyone who reads or follows the blog knows, Today I had to dress up has Kesha for work.
I know quite a few people were eager to see the results.
Now I changed my make up idea at the last minute.
Mainly so I could get on the bus to work without fear of being completely ridiculed.

So eye make up.
I used my Urban decay palette for this goth/rocker look.
I used Uzi (white on all the lid and then added Loaded (Dark green) and put the beautiful psychedelic sister (Deep dairy milk purple) on top of that to help build up the layers and give a more grunge feel to the eyes.

I then finished off the look with Urban Decay eyeliner in Ransom under the eyes.
Barry M liquid eyeliner and some pencil eyeliner on the waterline.
Plus some Avon supershock mascara for dramatic lashes.

For the nails I decided to clash the purple of my eyes with a emerald green nail varnish.
I used Barry M number 284.
I love this colour and this time I remembered a base coat. :)

This is what I looked like when I got on the bus this morning.
It took a lots of backcombing to get my fringe that high.
I take my hat off to Jedward doing that everyday.
So full of costume jewellery and more rips and tears to my clothes then you can shake a stick at.
I toddled off to work.
This last part of my make up had to be done there.
(Yes I have just realised that you can see my torso of the week of Jenson Button in the background. A fit fail there)

Now I know in this photo there is two things which make me look bad.
One: The light in the bathroom at work does make me look green.
and two: This is the most serious pose I have ever done. I also look a bit deranged. But it's the best photo to show the whole look.
I just added some blue eyeshadow to my lips to finish off the Kesha make up look.
I hopefully looked OK.
Fingers crossed.

Just one word of warning.
If you do try this look at home.
You will need a long bath to wash off all the glitter.

And you will need to use a hair mask on your hair.
Because this will have to be tamed.

Wearable Orange

Hey bloggers
Hope you have had a great week.

Orange has made a huge comeback in make up.
Especially Tangerine Orange.

Now has much as Orange is in fashion.
It is notoriously tricky to pull off unless you have black skin.
On black skin it makes a statement
Like on this model here.
On pale skin like mine.
It makes you looked tangoed.
So how do you stay on trend but work it to your colouring.

Simple.
You tone it down on the face but make it dramatic on the nails.
On the eyes, you can use a more peach based orange.
This is more natural way of toning down brights.
I used Urban Decay eyeshadow here but you can use any peach base colour.
But by toning down the eyes you can go extremely bright on the lips.

This is Soap and Glory mother pucker in pink apricot.
I love how this orange works with my skin tone.
Plus it's a lovely thick gloss. So you can control how much colour you add.

To do the trend of tangerine Orange.
It is better on the nails.
I used Avon orange on one nail and added Maybelline orange sparkle on top of the Avon colour.

This is the best way of using Orange.
You can clash it better with your outfit on your nails and if you don't like it you can just remove it.

Where as if you try Orange on your face. Although you can remove it.
It's such a tricky trend that if you don't get it right, people will remember your make up faux par.

When I was 17 I used to wear bright Orange on my eyes.
It wasn't my finest hour.
Even though Orange works well on Blue eyes. It was still too much.

This way it works well and it stays on trend.

Orange.
Take a bite, it's going to stay.

Envious eyes. Well you will have.

Hello bloggers
Hope you have had a good evening.

Emerald green and jade green have hit a new stride this spring/summer.
Not just in clothes case in point Jamie Winstone
but in make up too.
However the green is multi layered giving a 3D effect.

Look magazine showcase perfectly how to achieve the look at home.
I also decided to give it a go.
Luckily I have a lot of urban decay products at home but I didn't have the exact colours so I just experimented till I got it right.

I like to think I didn't do too badly and I must admit I love this look, it's edgy (Very Jessie J style) but it's extremely wearable.
I used urban decay eyeshadow in Haight for the base, Loaded for the dark green on the outer corners and Flipside for the 3D middle effect.

This is how it looks finished.
I'm going out on Saturday.
So I will be definitely doing this look again.

With this look though you need to keep the lips simple and you can't make your cheekbones to pink or red because it can clash with the harshness of the green.
All you need for your cheekbones is some highlighter really.

On Saturday I will show you a picture of me fully done up.
Hopefully you will give it a go too.
Pictures welcome.
