Hope you are having a great day.
I got asked the question the other day by a friend of mine.
"So what products do you use?, what are your staples you can't live without?"
So here is my answer.
Haircare.
The shampoo I like to have a bottle of in my bathroom is Lush's Daddy O.
This purple shampoo reminds me of parma violets and is the only shampoo to make my hair more blonde.
I do alternate with other shampoo's from time to time but I always come back to Daddy O.
The other shampoo I use when my hair gets dry from all the hair dyeing I do, is Dove shampoo. It makes my hair so unbelievably soft and it lasts for ages.
Conditioner wise I change all the time. Mainly because my condition changes all the time, with the weather, hair dyeing and the styling products I tend to use. I do like Tresemme colour protect though and the bottle lasts for ages.
With hair dyeing the brand I have been using for a long time is Garnier Nutrisse. It makes my hair so soft and with so many colours to pick from, it has been rare that my hair hasn't turned the colour on the box and it doesn't kill you with that ammonia smell.
When dyeing my hair bright colours like pink, orange and red. I always use stargazer colours. The colours are strong and vibrant and last a while before fading on the hair too.
For holding my hair in place, silvikrin hairspray is still the best. Cheap and easy to brush out. If I am really struggling for cash I find boots own brand a god send. These are the only two hairsprays I have never had a reaction with.
For styling I love Vo5 wax's. They aren't greasy and they are extremely pliable, good for changing your style. If I have a bit more cash on me, Lee Stafford's styling range is fantastic and it smells amazing, especially the big fat texturising spray which gives you big hair in seconds.
Also if my hair is greasy, Batiste dry shampoo is a god send to day old unwashed hair. I do love that fact that there are so many different fragrances. I do love the tropical. Smells like a beach holiday.
Facecare.
To wash my face, Lush products win again. I couldn't live without them. They make my face so soft and I hardly come out in spots. I tend to use aqua marina (Which is full of beautiful seaweed) for normal skin days but if my skin is playing up the I use Dark angels (Full of detoxifying charcoal), which really scrubs the face, bringing out all the dirt under the skin to the surface.
For moisturizer I tend to use Lush's Vanishing cream in the day, great for removing the oil slick I call my face and at night I use Lancome's skin defence serum and then I apply on top of that some Avon's planet spa Japanese sake and rice luminous face treatment. Topped with some eye cream. I'm not fussy about which eye cream just any I can get hold of. :)
Bodycare.
Body lotions, are an important part of my daily routine but I have to be honest I like so many that I couldn't put them all down here. I tend to alternate between a couple at once. For example at the moment I am using Avon's skin so soft and the body shop coconut body butter.
I am the same on the body scrub front. I tend to give myself a good slough at least once a week but use different brands for different times. I do like the soap and glory range, mainly because it doesn't feel too rough on the skin.
Shower gels. For when my skin is dry, Dove shower gels really do the business for other occasions I switch between Lush, imperial leather and when I am feeling a little more flush philosophy shower gels, which have some of the best smells around.
On the Deodorant front I tend to switch between special offers, but the only three I ever buy is Sure, Nivea and dove. The rest just don't seem to work on my skin and there is nothing worse then an antiperspirant that doesn't work.
With hand cream one of my personal favourites is the nails inc hand cream in angel hands. Smells like Turkish delight and made my hands like silk. That reminds me I need to buy a new tube of it. :)
I hope that gives you an idea of just a few products that I use and I hope that it gives you some ideas when your next out shopping.
